The Baker's Boil 5K presented by Lone Star Endurance Athletes is a race to promote health and wellness through endurance sport by supporting youth and amateur competitive athletes of all ages. We hope to spread the importance of heart health through physical fitness and encourage participation in endurance exercise particularly in small town, rural communities where funding and training opportunities are limited.
We partner with individuals and organizations to
- grant scholarships to youth in endurance sport
- host training clinics
- provide accessibility to coaching
- sponsor amateur athletes from rural communities
- develop a loan program for equipment and training gear for amateur athletes getting started in endurance racing
- encourage small town communities to get moving by hosting local races and events
- raise awareness for the importance of physical wellness for community members of all ages
