Strokes are a leading cause of adult long-term disability and the fifth leading cause of death in the United States. More than 58% of Americans don’t know if they are at risk for stroke and one in three Americans really don’t even know what to look for as a warning sign or symptom of a stroke.
It is important that we bring focus to prevent strokes and educate our community on the importance of stroke awareness. We invite you to join the Weslaco Stroke Support Group for a Stroke Awareness Run/Walk on May 18th and help us reduce the effects of stroke on our community!
BE-FAST 5K will feature a competitive and noncompetitive registration package.
-The registration will include: Registration, Timing Shoe Tag, Performance Dry Fit T-Shirt and customized participation medal.
- Performance Dry Fit T-Shirt only, for those who are interested in attending but not participating in the run.
-Children 12 and under are free (Please note children must be registered participants to receive a shirt and participation medal)
