Wanna 5K?
Our 5K starts at 8:30 on SATURDAY, January 22nd, 2017– immediately after the KIDS Marathon. It’s flat, it’s fast, it’s a perfect warm-up for your race on Sunday. If you complete both the 5K on Saturday and the “Big Dog” races on Sunday, you will qualify for The Phoenix Challenge and earn an extra piece of bling for your trophy cabinet!
Fire fighters who run the 5K in their turnout gear (liners are optional, running shoes are actually encouraged) will receive a MMM custom challenge coin awarded onstage. You are our heroes!
The 5K will be chip timed by our very favorite timing company, Redemption Racing from San Antonio, Texas! The Kids K and 1 Mile Fun Run will remain untimed events, as they should be… Get it? FUN Run? Run Happy!!!
