Come add to the history and tradition of Texas by running the half marathonor 5K - both brewed in the heart of Texas and beginning and ending at the historic Spoetzl Brewery in Shiner. Stay for a spell anad enjoy live music and brewery tours. Proud to benefit the Boot Campaigin for the second year, a non-profit organization promoting patriotism, cultivating awareness and raising funds for our troops. Run the Half Marathon or 5K in your Boot Camp boots to show supports. Special awards will be given to the overall male and female runner in each race who runs in their boots.
The town of Shiner sits deep in the hear of Texas, on a little spot hardly bigger than a postage stamp. Youmight even miss it if you blink while zipping by on either US Highway 90A or State Highway 95, where the town sits at the crossroads, off the beaten path between Houston and San Antonio. It is about 120 miles from Houston, 90 miles from San Antonio and 85 miles from Austin.
Race participants will receive a technical Brooks Podium tee in mens or womens sizes. All half marathon finisher's medal. All runners in the half marathon and 5K will receive entry into the best after-party around - live music, brewery tours, Shiner beer and awesome food.
