The 3rd Annual “Seize the Moment” 5K Fun Run/Walk was created to raise epilepsy awareness and is held in November as part of National Epilepsy Awareness Month. This event has been designed to fulfill the needs of all participants with chip timing available to the avid 5K runners, and a 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk for those wanting a shorter route! Don’t want to get up at the crack of dawn? Join us as a “Sleep in for a Cause” Virtual Walker! Help the cause without missing a wink of sleep. Virtual walkers receive all the benefits of participating without having to be there on the big day!
ABOUT THE COURSE
The “Seize the Moment” 5K Fun Run/Walk takes place through the beautiful City of Shavano Park on a 3.1 mile tree-lined paved course. Chip timing will be available to 5K runners registered before 8:00am 11/5/2011. Chip timing is not available for the 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk.
AWARDS & PRIZES
Medals will be awarded to the top three 5K Male & Female finishers in each age category, Team Prizes will be awarded for the Biggest Team, Most Money Raised, & Most Team Spirit. Age categories: 7 & under; 8-14; 15-18; 19-29; 30-39; 40-59; 60-69; 70 & Up.

- $25 – Adult Registration (age 19 and over)
- $15 – Youth Registration (18 and under)
- $25 – “Sleep For a Cause” Virtual Walker
- $35 – Adult Late Registration (after Oct 18, 2011)
- $25 – Youth Late Registration (18 and Under)

RACE PACKET PICK UP
Race packet pick up will be held on 11/2/2011 and 11/3/2011 from 11:00AM to 7:00PM, Shavano Park City Hall, 900 Saddletree Court, Shavano Park, TX 78231. Participants registered on or before Oct 18, 2011 will be guaranteed a t-shirt and goodie bag.
