The 10 mile course leads runners through a rather porous section of the Edwards Aquifer. Juniper groves, meadows, ephemeral wetlands, and oak mottes co-exist in Purgatory Creek Greenspace. More experienced trail runners will enjoy some difficult technical sections of trail during the race while still runnable.
We strive to be a "sustainable" race operation, this means we are a cupless race. We have water a water stop on the 10 mi at the turnaround but each runner will need to carry a bottle on the course with them. This is not new for us, lets all up our game and keep trash out of our landfills.
The 5K course is a rigorous course with a medium technical rating and is the perfect introduction into trail running. You must bring your own water & water bottle to run with.
Walkers and hikers are encouraged and welcome to participate in the 5K and the 10 mile race.
Runners and walkers will receive a t-shirt. Be advised, the tshirts are unisex sizing and first come first serve. Once inventory is out...there are no more shirts.
Shirts will be first come(registered), first serve.
No dogs allowed. No refunds.

When viewing the map, note that you will have a short walk from Hernandez Elementary
to the start/finish area at the corner of Wonderworld and Hunter Rd. Follow the herd, it will
be obvious. Take your time and enjoy the pre race moments.
