The 10-mile run will start promptly at 7:00am. The race is run on a fairly challenging course on rural roads southeast of the Tanger Outlet Center. It is a 10-mile out-and-back course. The course has moderately rolling hills. The course will close at 10:30am.
Awards will be presented to the male and female Overall, Masters (over 40), Senior Masters (50-59) and Grand Masters (60 and over) champions, and to the top 3 male and female finishers in each age group. The awards presentation will be at 9:30am.
The race will be manually timed and scored using RunScore race software.
The San Marcos Manufacturers' Association (SMMA) is a collaberation of local industries to communicate common needs, problems and objectives with a strong focus on furthering technical education. The SMMA Gear Up 10 MIle Run is an endeavor in partnership with CTMC to provide local scholarships from proceeds generated from the race.
