The Central Texas Medical Center Sights & Sounds of Christmas 5K and 1k Jingle Bell Run will be held Saturday December 7th, 2013 at 9:00 am. Due to the growing popularity and size of the race, we are debuting a new certified course that will showcase the beautiful downtown and historic district of San Marcos. The course is mostly flat with some gentle slopes and one small grade hill. The race will begin and finish at the San Marcos Plaza Park. Chip timing will be used. Every 5K entrant will receive a t-shirt (shirts guaranteed to all pre-registrants) while the 1k participants will be given a t-shirt and a Santa trophy for participating in the race. The awards ceremony will follow the completion of the 1k race with the overall 5K male and female winners receiving a $100 gift card to Core Running towards a pair of shoes and a unique Santa trophy to top finishers in each five-year age group. Master's Awards M/F (Masters winners also win a $100 Core Running gift card) and a 9 and under age category have been added this year since this race is such a favorite with our younger runners. Age groups are five year to 80-over. |

5K Kids Jingle Bell Run All 1k Jingle Bell run participants will receive a Santa Trophy and all 5K and 1K race participant recieve jingle bells. Race day registrants are not guaranteed a 5K tee or 1K cotton tee |

| Toy Drive: |
After completion of 5k and after last kid runs through shoot at beginning of 1K there is a Blue Santa Parade to collect toys for Blue Santa. We are encouraging runners to bring toys to donate. New unused- unwrapped and no plush toys. All runners bringing a toy to packet pickup or on race day will receive a santa hat. |
