Are you and or your team ready for a unique event opportunity for all participants? The "Stampede", a 5K run/walk, kicks off a full days activities associated with the Annual San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo in beautiful downtown San Antonio. You will be in the middle of the action for the yearly Western Heritage Parade, Chuck Wagon Breakfast, great entertainment in the plaza, and the first annual Vaquero Cook-Off after the parade. All race proceeds go to the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo Scholarship Fund. As a participant you/your team will have the opportunity to run/walk through picturesque downtown, covering parts of Houston and Alamo streets as you travel the route of the Western Heritage Parade along with the Hemisfair/Tower area. Several activities will be taking place prior to and after at the start/finish location of Maverick Plaza at LaVillita. The Western Heritage Parade also ends at Maverick Plaza.
