The PTSD Foundation of America's is proud to announce the return of our Summer Sweat 5k/10k and 1-mile fun run! This event is our active approach to combatting the effects of PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). Have a service dog or a friendly fur buddy? Sign them up as well! We welcome all our furry friends to participate in this event with us (as long as they are on a leash). This run will be taking place at McAllister Park on June 2nd, 2018. Start time for the runners is 8am with early registration at 7am. We will also be doing early pickup packets at the PTSD Foundation of America at 14747 Jones Maltsberger rd San Antonio, TX 78247 bldg 500 on May 31st and June 1st with times TBD.
As a Foundation our goal is to raise awareness to the causes, symptoms and treatments of PTSD among our service members, first responders and their families. We combat this illness using our "Corps of Compassion" build from the partnerships of various local service providers and churches. We invite you out to break a sweat and help bridge the gap between soldier and civilian in our community. With your support we can continue to create a unified San Antonio who supports our service men and women!
Every week we as a chapter lead 5 seperate support groups for Active Duty Military, veterans, First Responders and their families in and around the San Antonio area. Every week our dedicated mentors work to improve the lives of not only our members struggling with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, but there families as well. With your continued support we can ensure that each and everyone of these families can continue to recieve the spiritual, emotional and mental growth our mentors provide.
