About

This year the Run & Walk for AIDS, benefiting the San Antonio AIDS Foundation (SAAF) will be held on Satruday, September 22nd and will begin and end at the Blue Star Complex in the King William District.  The 5K run will begin at 8AM and the 2-mile walk will begin at 9AM with music, booths and activites located Blue Star's south end parking lot.

SAAF founded what is now called Run & Walk for AIDS, the Walk for Life, in 1991. Each year, hundreds of South Texans gather to celebrate life and to raise funds for SAAF. The Run & Walk for AIDS promotes awareness and generates funds that allow SAAF to continue its pursuit of providing compassionate medical care and social services to people with HIV/AIDS and to help prevent the spread of HIV through education and free HIV testing.

This is a day for family, friends, co-workers and even pets to join in and support SAAF while promoting community awareness. Last year several hundred people gathered together and in 2012 we are anticipating a significant increase in attendance. The Run & Walk for AIDS is an excellent way for groups and corporations to get involved.
