START TIME: 6:40PM (Just prior to Night Parade Vanguard)
WHAT: A flat 2.6-mile run on the city streets along the route of the Night Parade, encouraged by thousands of cheering spectators. The run begins at Broadway and Grayson and ends at the corner of Santa Rosa and Martin St. Post race festivities include music and refreshments at Columbus Park (corner of San Saba and Martin St.).
TRANSPORTATION: Sunken Garden 4:30pm-6:00pm. NEW TIME! Buses will take runners to the starting line (approx. 1.5 miles). Last bus to leave @ 6:00pm. Buses will return to parking lot departing Columbus Park from 7-8:30pm.
AWARDS: Colorful souvenir T-shirt to all registrants. Awards for the first place overall male & female finisher.
COSTUMES: Registration and review of costumes 4:00pm. at Costume Judging Sign @ Sunken Garden. Awards to 1st, 2nd, 3rd and honorable mention. The Theme for this year is HAPPY HOLIDAYS! Dress up in any holiday themed costume.Example: Valentine’s Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, 4th of July, etc.
