Faith Hope Love Run Kids Dash/5K Race

At First Baptist Academy (FBA) in Portland, Texas our mission is to prepare children to be strong in spirit and Christian values and realize academic excellence in a diverse and changing world.  The FBA is guided by a Christ-centered philosophy. God, in his wisdom, has given parents the responsibility for their children's education and discipline. FBA offers a quality education in a Christian environment. We strives to maintain a student body with high academic and moral standards.

We are  the only private Christian school in the Portland community serving grade Kinder Prep (4 year olds) through 6th grade. While most of our students pay to attend our school, we do have families who would want to raise their child(ren) in a Christian school however they cannot afford to send them due to their financial position. At FBA our goal is to strive to have sufficient funds to allow a family to have their child attend with subsidized funds. With this being said the Academy is hosting a Faith Hope Love Run 5K and  1 mile kid fun run that will generate funds dedicated solely to scholarship money. This will allow the Academy to accept all interested rather than turning them away due to not enough funds.

6:30am - Registration and Packet Pickup
7:15am - Kids Dash
7:30am - 5K Run/Walk

Non-competitive walkers will be seeded behind the runners

5K(Timed and non-competitive)
$25 until Sunday, February 5 , 2017
$30 from Monday, Feb 6 to Thursday, February 9  
$35 at Packet Pickup on Friday, February 10
$40 on Race Day, Saturday, February 11

Kids Dash
$10 until January 31
$15 after January 31 until Race day, Saturday, Feb 11

You must be registered by Feb 1 to be guaranteed a t-shirt.

Children ages four and under do not need to register for the event if they are being accompanied by an Adult (18+) registered participant. Donations are Welcome.

Families are encouraged to participate in this event and are welcomed.

Race Day registration will be available on a First Come, First Served basis!  Please register now and save.
