This is the First “Brush Country Deer Run” it is being held on opening day of

 White Tail Deer Season.

It is being Held in conjunction with the Official Opening and Ribbon Cutting

on the newly created Bypass Rd., Shale Rd. and CR 431

The race is being run on this Bypass Rd. and will be held in a different location in Atascosa County every year following on

 The opening day of “White Tail Deer Season”

We will be donating funds from the registration to support our County Volunteer Fire Depts., Law Enforcement Officers and EMS

 

The course is 2.8 miles in length and runs east to west. It will have markers where to loop for each race being run and where to loop for final lap. The course itself is being run on a road that is 40ft wide for approx. 1.5 miles and narrows to 20’ wide. There are some minor changes in elevations but not really any hills.

There will be drink stations and Port-a-Potties along the route, a race monitor, with EMT will be on course available to assist any participant and pick up any participants that do not finish in 4hrs.
