Join us for the 5th annual NYOS 5K and Kids 1K supporting NYOS Charter School. This is a family friendly event that you won’t want to miss!

The funds raised from this event will support:

  • Playground supplies for elementary campus
  • Specialized tools for deferentially abled children on elementary campus
  • Funding for PALS (Peer Assisted Leadership) to attend 2018 Conference
  • Cost of PSAT exams
  • Project Graduation 2018
  • Funding for TAFE (Texas Association of Future Educators) to attend the Texas Teach Tomorrow Conference
  • Staff professional development at the 2018 High Reliability Schools Summit
  • Specials Team Supplies

All proceeds from the race will benefit NYOS Charter School PTA. NYOS is a free public charter school serving students in Pre-K through 12th grades across the extended Austin area. We are looking forward to a day of fun and community, and appreciate your support!

Kids 1k:   1K Course Map

Begins promptly at 8:30 am; Race registration is available to children ages 12 and under. The Kids 1k course will be a 0.62 mile trail following along the Pfluger Park Loop section of the race course. Parents are welcome to run with their children and cheer them on as they charge toward the finish line.

5k race:   5k Course Map

Begins promptly at 9:00 am; Race registration is open to all ages. We are excited to offer a family-friendly course beginning and ending in Gilleland Creek Park, right next to Pfluger Park. The path follows alongside Gilleland Creek, through greenbelts and parks, with no street crossings.  Participants may run, jog, or walk (strollers are welcome). All 5k registrants will be chip-timed. Timing chips will be attached to the race bib and results will be available following completion of the race. Prizes will be awarded to the top overall and age-group finishers.

$20 per person - Chip timed 5K

Regular registration- March 1- March 31

Late registration (shirt size will not be guaranteed during this period) - April 1 - April 13

Packet Pickup

FRIDAY:  April 13, 2018 – Packet pickup will occur from 3:30-6:30 pm at the NYOS Charter School Kramer campus.  (1605 Kramer Ln, Austin, 78758)

SATURDAY:  April 14, 2018 – Packet pickup will also be available on race morning from 7:30-8:30 am at Gilleland Creek Park, near Pfluger Park. (700 N Railroad Ave, Pflugerville, 78660)
