EAST TEXAS HALF

 

The East Texas Half Marathon is a 13.1-mile premier East Texas racing event traversing the beautiful scenery and historical attractions boasted by Nacogdoches, Texas. The Race Texas Sports owned event includes state-of-the-art timing and results, custom technical shirts, custom race-bibs and medals, and much more. The East Texas Half Marathon team strives to motivate runners to set and achieve their goals through our unique race experience. The East Texas Half Marathon is held on November 16th in Nacogdoches, Texas at Pecan Acres Park located at 826 Starr Avenue, Nacogdoches, TX 75961 beginning at 7:30am. Runners will enjoy the sites of Nacogdoches, the “Oldest Town in Texas,” starting and finishing at the extraordinary Pecan Acres Park. The half marathon course continues through the East Texas pines, and flaunts a wonderful view of Stephen F. Austin State University. This scenic course will boast a relatively flat and fast 13.1 mile route for runners of all levels to enjoy. And once you have accomplihed your 13.1 mile goal, stick around for food, drinks, music and fun that will follow in the post race party area!

The fee schedule for the East Texas Half Marathon is not the only thing you are going to want to check out! Race Texas is introducing the Race Texas 13.1 Series, including not just the East Texas Half Marathon, but also the West Texas Half Marathon, and the Armadillo Dash Half Marathon. This three part series aims to become the most electrifying and breath-taking race series in Texas! You will have the opportunity to sign up for just a single race in the series, go for the Texas Two-Step, any winning two combination of the three races, or complete the Texas Trio and finish all three. The more races you sign up for the better deal you get per race, not to mention the awesome extra swag that goes along with the Texas Two-Step or the Texas Trio. Check out the fee schedule below to pick your Race Texas 13.1 Series events!

AWARDS

Trophies will be awarded to the male and female winner of each age category. Age category winners are based on chip time within the official results. The age categories are as follows: 14-19 // 20-24 // 25-29 // 30-34 // 35-39 // 40-44 // 45-49 // 50-54 // 55-59 // 60-69 // 70+

For those that complete the Texas Two-Step or the Texas Trio, you will receive additional custom awards that will soon be announced!

T-SHIRTS, PHOTOS AND FINISHER MEDALS

Half Marathoners receive a technical race shirt at packet pick up and a finisher’s medal at the finish line. All runners will also receive FREE race photos from the event, so smile big! PACKET PICK-UP

Participants will be able to pick their packets up Friday, November 14th and Saturday, November 15th (location and time coming soon!). There will be no race day packet pick-up. You will be allowed to pick up packets for friends and family ONLY if you have a copy of their photo ID.
