This National Stroke Awareness Month, the South Texas Health System Neurosciences & Stroke Institute presents Steps for Stroke, a community competition aimed at raising awareness on the warning signs of stroke and educating the community on ways to reduce your risk of having one.
During this virtual week-long challenge, participants will commit to walk, run or even dance their way to a minimum of 10,000 steps per day and 50,000 steps total within the specified timeframe (May 21-29).
And you’re invited to kick off the challenge on Saturday, May 21 at the official Steps for Stroke Pep Rally.
Along with picking up your packet, you’ll get the chance to start upping your step count with fun aerobic activities throughout the day!
