It's that time of year again for Lockhart's 2nd annual "Running of the Bulls" on June 4th, 2022. A fun take on Pamplona, Spain’s famous “Running of the Bulls”! Runners will enjoy the experience without the gore by running in front of handmade bulls on wheels made out of whatever creativity the bull owners come up with. Some bulls will be made of papier mache’ over chicken wire on wheels and pushed toward the runners. Some may be made of cardboard, some may be costumes worn by runners. All will be highly creative for sure! All of this takes place with a new, a bit longer, route, in and around the beautiful square of downtown Lockhart! After the run, which is about .7 miles, there will be music, drinks and all sorts of fun for the whole family to enjoy. Vote for your favorite bull! Make a day of it and experience the shops and restaurants of downtown. Make sure you wear all white and a red sash!

There will be more fun activities from pop up vendors for you to enjoy this year before and after the run, including a bloody mary and margarita bar, face painting, flower crowns, and mechanical bull! Test your skills!
