Sparks will be flying on February 19, 2022 when Ancora Ministries holds our first-ever Spark Love 5K Presented by ML Crane Group! All proceeds from this event will be invested in programs dedicated to improving the health and nutrition of kids and families in Central Texas and Guatemala.
Ancora Ministries is all about helping kids, families, and communities reach their God-given potential through relationship, nutrition, clean water, education, and health and safety initiatives.
We envision a Guatemala where every child has the ability to develop to their full potential through good nutrition, sanitation, clean water, healthy homes, and access to education. A Guatemala where every child knows they were born for a reason, and that God loves them and has a plan for them.
We envision a local community where children have access to food even when school is not in session. A community that invests, not only in nutrition, but in the educational, spiritual, and character development of its children.

Locally, Ancora partners with HaysHope2Go, a program that has provided over 100,000 meals to food-insecure children and families over the past year. Ancora has been an active part of HaysHope2Go, contributing over 10,000 meals. We expect to double that number in the next 12 months.
In Guatemala, we currently have nutrition programs in 15 communities in the central and southern regions of the country, with plans to add more by the end of 2021. Ancora has impacted over 2000 people and provided nearly 40,000 meals to vulnerable communities in Guatemala over the past 12 months.

Must register by Shirt Guarantee Deadline to guarantee receipt of shirt requested.
Shirt Guarantee Deadline is 14 days before race day.
Extra shirts are ordered conservatively so as not to expend funds on shirts that could go to the cause. If having a shirt is important to you, please register by Shirt Guarantee Deadline.
Races start and finish at Wallace Middle School, address listed at the top of this page.
We are Rain or Shine, Hot or Cold.
5K is chip timed.
1K will not begin until all 5K participants have returned to the finish line.
Medals are not awarded to 1K participants. All participants 10 and under receive a finisher token.
Online Registration will close 4 days before race day. Walk Up registration is available during stated Packet Pickup times above. Cash, Check, or Venmo accepted.
Walk Up Registration closes 15 minutes before race start time.
No refunds, but you may transfer your registration to another person.
Packets may be picked up by another person.
All Registration Changes must be handled on race morning with the timing company.
If offered, Packets to be shipped will be shipped following the close of the race.
All packets not retrieved by the end of race morning will be donated to Hays Clothing Closet.
