About

Wear your Superhero Costumes or Superhero themed attire and run to support the heroes who defend the potential of children everday through mentoring with Big Brothers Big Sisters!

The Defenders of Potential 5K is a fundraiser benefitting Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Texas Hill Country. Big Brothers Big Sisters helps children realize their potential and build their futures. Since 1904, Big Brothers Big Sisters has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is incredible potential. As the nation’s largest donor- and volunteer-supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 5 through young adulthood in communities across the country. We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people. Our mission is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. Because we believe all children can achieve success in life.
