About

The Northside Education Foundation (NEF) 5K Run/Walk & Family Wellness Fair is one of the largest, local non-profit 5Ks in San Antonio. In 2017, almost 4,000 participated. In 2018, the NEF 5K is partnering with the City of Helotes and the Helotes Festival Association to provide a full day of fun for the community. Also, San Antonio will mark its 300th anniversary in 2018. NEF is honored to partner with the San Antonio Tricentennial and to be part of this historic celebration.

After the race, stay and play at the parade and Cornyval Festival. The Festival tickets will only be $5 for 5K participants, and will open an hour early, 11 a.m., exclusively for 5K participants!

*Carpooling recommended. A portion of the route that is unpaved and uneven may be affected by weather conditions. Use strollers and wagons with caution.

Volunteers

This event would not be possible without the help of our volunteers.  Volunteers are needed before the event and during race day. If you would like to help support Northside please contact Katie Martinez at (210) 397-8599 or katie.martinez@nisd.net. This is a great opportunity for high school students, college students, retired NISD employees, or anyone interested in volunteering their time.
