The Central Texas Area Rotary Clubs and the City of Harker Heights Parks and Recreation Department are joining together again this year to raise awareness and funds for the eradication of polio with out Monster Dash 5K walk/run, 5K team (four person) competition, 10K run, and 10K hand cycle race event. There will also be the free, 1/4 mile, Little Monster Dash for children 10 years old and under. All proceeds from this event will be used by The Rotary Club Foundation for the eradication of polio. Costumes, especially for the Little Monster Dash, are encouraged. This is a sanctioned race of the Cen-Tex race series.
An exciting addition to the Monster Dash this year, is the team (four person) competition in the 5K run. We will give trophies to teams with the best total time in the following categories: First Responders (Fire, Police and EMS), Military Unit and Business/ Organization.
Start Time: 10K run and 10K hand cycle race begins at 8 a.m. 5K wal/run and 5K team race begins at 8:30 a.m. Little Monster Dash: 9:30 a.m.
