Come run the 4th annual Tour de Glen Rose March 24th on a beautiful fast course in Glen Rose Tx top of hill country “Dinosaur Capital of Texas”.

Our half marathon and 5k courses are USATF certified that will be chip timed from start to finish.

Half marathon starts from Wheeler Branch reservoir and finishes at the Historic Courthouse Square. This is a point to point race chip start with half splits. The half starts as a downhill course with some rolling hills in the beginning. After 4 miles it is primarily flat running along the Paluxy River. The 5k is flat and fast. As you cross the finish line preliminary instant results Kiosk print out after you pass the finish line for all timed races.

5k and 1 mile fun run/walk starts and finishes at Historic Courthouse Square

There are NO refunds. Event will be held rain or shine.

There will be cash prizes for the top overall male and female finisher in the Half marathon and gift certificates for the other events as well as Age Group awards. Relay will get a 1st place award for fastest relay team.

Awards ceremony will start at 9:15 am for the 5k, and half marathon awards will follow around 9:30 am.

Packet Pickup

05:00 PM -7:30 pm late Registration and packet pickup March 23rd at the Glen Rose Convention & Visitors Bureau 1505 NE Big Bend trl GlenRose TX 76043

There will also be packet pickup at 6:00 am until 7:45 am the morning of the race at the square. If you're doing the half marathon or relay and can't make it to the packet pickup the night before, you'll have to get your packet at the square then drive a couple of miles up to the starting line. Address for the square is 101 NE Barnard Street Glen Rose TX, 76043. We will be set up under the pavilion in front of the court house.

Additional Info

This is a non profit race. All proceeds will go to Chris Freeman and Rich Timmons, two men in the community battling stage 4 cancer. The race last year was such a success helping out the race director Annette as she got advanced cancer and could not continue the event. The community gathered together to put this race on in her honor as to help with the medical expenses. With the overwhelming community support and countless prayers it was a vital element that enabledher to be a survivor today. She wants to help another as this helped her.

Directions

Parking WILL be available at Wheeler Branch Park (half marathon starting line) A shuttle will be available AFTER the race to take runners back to their vehicles, if needed. First shuttle will take place at 8:30 am and last shuttle will leave at the end of the awards ceremony.
