Come get your shoes sandy and race with us!
Date: Saturday, May 25, 2013
Place: Porretto Beach, 10th and Seawall, Galveston, TX 77550
Course: Both races will take place on the sand beginning at Porretto Beach. The course will be marked
and volunteers will be positioned to aid runners. Water stations, Bathrooms and first aid are provided.
Race: 1K Fun Run/Walk – Open to all ages (3 medals for first 3 places) Starts at 8:00 AM
Race: 5K Run – Ages 11 and up. All run together, medals given for 1st – 3rd place in both
Mens/Womens and age groups (11-14) (15-19), (20 and up) Race Begins at 8:30
Check In: At Porretto Beach begins at 6:30 AM and will stop 30 minutes prior to your race.
You will be given your race bibs and goody bags, including T-shirts, during check-in.
Registration: Fill out form online and proceed to secure check out.

Registration day of race: Pre-registration online is encouraged, but we will accept race-day registration from 6:30 – 7:30 AM
Prices: 1K $15 pre-registration / Day of race $20
5K $20 pre-registration / Day of Race $25
Payment: Checks, Cash, PayPal and Credit cards are accepted forms of payment. Make checks payable to Sandy Shoes Fun Run.
Timers: Race will be timed with shoe chips. The organizers decision is final.
Post Race: refreshments and awards will be given in all age categories.
Parking: Participants and spectators may park on Porretto beach for a fee and are welcome to stay all day.
