With registration you get an event t-shirt, Gumbo Cup for the Gumbo Tasting on Saturday, and $5 towards festival merchandise along with other assorted items in your Shrimp Swag Bag! The event pays for itself, but dont wait too long because prices are going to go up!
The run will start and end at Float Pool and Patio Bar at 29th St. and Seawall and will be followed by a social get together and awards ceremony!
Not only will your registration give you the opportunity to run a fun 5K, but it will also allow you to help out the community and people around you. Partnered with the Shrimp Scamper are two local non-profits. A portion of the proceeds will be benefitting The Caballa Historical Foundation, an organization primarily responsible for the local attraction SeaWolf Park on Pelican Island. They are also assisting with the weekend's Christening of the USS Ft. Worth. With your participation in the 5K, you are also given the chance to "Run Against Cancer" with Infinity and Beyond, a local cancer non-profit, who's mission is to fund cancer research and assist indigent patients with costs of care.
