The Texas Harvest 5K/10K, in Fredericksburg, is a family-friendly run and is held in conjunction with and on the same day as the Fredericksburg Food and Wine Festival. After the run, stick around for craft beer from Pedernales Brewing Companies and wine tasting from Wedding Oaks Winey included for runners and walkers of age. Run or walk on the paths of beautiful Wildseed Farms, including a stretch along the Pedernales River. The 5k loop winds along flat, well maintained, very gentle, non-technical dirt trail through the fields of Wildseed Farms, along with a scenic stretch beside the Pedernales River. The 10k will cover the loop twice. As a race participant, you’ll get to see parts of the farm that are not open to the general public.
