Paws for a Cause 5k run is a timed course that starts at the DairHeart Farm entrance and goes down County Road 306 and then returns back to the farm. Terrain is “light trail” with a flat dirt surface.
The 3k is a non-timed walk (with or without dogs) on the same terrain. Strollers are allowed but the all-terrain wheels are recommended.
Proceeds will go to support The Wilson County No-Kill Animal Shelter and other Wilson County entities for the upcoming holiday season (ie food banks, church pantries, etc)
We are encouraging pets and their owners to dress up for Halloween as there will also be special awards in a range of categories (both pet and human). Candy/treats for the kiddos and a number of booths for foods and crafts as well as fitness demonstrations.
Tshirts and finisher medals for all registered participants.
