The Wilson County Road Runner's Inaugural Taco Trample 5K is a chip timed course that winds through the scenic neighborhood streets of the Villages at River Bend in Floresville, a premier golf and family community, located in the heart of South Texas. Here, you'll find a relaxed, upscale atmosphere that's just minutes from the metropolitan conveniences of San Antonio, but miles from the big-city bustle.
The race will start at 8:00 am and all runners who register before September 28 will be ensured a technical race t-shirt. All finishers will receive post-race refreshments of breakfast tacos, fresh fruit and water!
The Wilson County Road Runners are dedicated to promoting the sport of running (and walking) for community wellness, friendship and fun. We just achieved our chapter status with the Road Runners Club of America, the nation's largest and oldest nonprofit running organization. You can read more about them here: www.rrca.org.
As a new club, we are small right now and looking to grow. In the near future, we hope to provide one or two scholarships to local track students when funding allows. This year, though, we are just looking to get our feet on the ground and start working towards encouraging a healthier community while fostering a few new friendships along the way!
