In observance of National Stroke Awareness Month and encourage community awareness of stroke, its warning signs and tips for prevention, South Texas Health System, home to the Valley’s most expansive stroke care network, presents Steps for Stroke.
During this virtual weeklong challenge, participants will commit to walk, run or even dance their way to a minimum of 10,000 steps per day and 50,000 steps total within the timeframe specified (May 24-30). A pedometer will be included in your registration packet for your to keep track of your steps, and you’ll be able to log them on our official challenge website.
