Jake “Red Stripe” Fredrick was a Marine Corps fighter jet pilot that grew up in Corpus Christi, TX. We would love the opportunity to honor him annually in the city he grew up in with a memorial run, in addition to raising awareness and funds for The Wingman Foundation. TWF is a non-profit organization that takes diligent, financial and logistical care of the families and squadrons of fallen Navy or Marine Corps aviators and crew immediately following a mishap. Kiley Fredrick has been a direct recipient of The Wingman Foundation’s support since the tragic loss of her husband in 2016, and she feels greatly compelled to help make TWF more publicly known so that, in the unfortunate case that another military spouse find themselves in a similar situation, they know about the resources available to them.
All of the proceeds of this event will go to The Wingman Foundation
Location: Starting near Bob Hall Pier- 3 miles out and back
Food: There will be an after party at JB’s German Bakery afterwards; they will be catering all food and beverages
Water Stations: There will be 4 water stations on route; they will be at miles 1, 1.5, 2, 3 – accessible for the return route as well.
