Rogue RUnning presents the Rogue Distance Festival with 30K, Half Marathon, 10K and Kids 1K distances. The 30K (18.6 miles) 7 the 10K (6.2 miles) will be a part of the Disntace Challenge series for a 2nd year. The Distance Challegne already includes the IBM 10K, RUn for the Water 10 Miler, Decker Challegne Half Marathon, 3M Hald Marathon, and the Austin Marathon and Half Marathon.
History of the Race:
The 30K distance was reinstated to the Distnace Challenge in 2013 after a 5 year hiatus. Prior to its resintatement, the most recent was the ARA 30K in 2008, which took place in the hilly Barton Creek Country Club area. Before this, the RunTex 30K ran for 7 years in the city of Buda.
The 30K race will offer a great test of fitness during the Distance Challenge, with the 10K and Hald Marathon providing alternative options for those who want to race the shorter distnaces. In addition, the Kids 1K will be great fun for the Kids.
The races will start and finish at Cedar Park High School, the 30K is a large loop that allows runners to see many portions of the CIty of Cdear Park. The 10K and Half Marathon race will start immediately following the 30K race and be run on portions of the same course.
Free Kids 1K: Rogue will sponsor a free kids 1K starting at the high school track. Entrants will receive a bib numver and a ribbon.
