IRE invites you to our 1st Annual Run, Walk and Ride-a-thon 10K Trail Run in Cat Springs, Texas. This challenging experience includes running a REAL trail race on well-marked trails through the historic and beautiful 7il Ranch. Bring your friends and family and consider staying for the kids carnival, BBQ lunch and live music. The race terrain includes rolling pastures (with potentially a cheering section of cows), woods, a couple creeks, sand, etc. Riders from all over Texas have joined SIRE’s special needs clients for this one-day ride-a-thon every October for more than 20 years. This year, one trail has been set aside so the running/walking community can experience the beauty and thrill of a hill country run/walk. At the same time, you’ll join riders (just not on the same trail) in supporting the life-changing therapeutic horsemanship offered by SIRE (www.sire-htec.org). The power, spirit, and unconditional acceptance of SIRE’s horses have enabled clients to ride beyond - to leave wheelchairs behind, to say first words, and even to be able to experience the thrill of competing locally and beyond. They will inspire you to achieve great things out on these trails and to “RUN BEYOND”. You won’t find a more unique or rewarding running experience!
