Go for Good 5K will benefit a different organization each year that positively impacts the lives of students. For 2023, Go for Good 5K will benefit Live Oak Academy! Come join us for a great start to your new year -- run, walk, jog, mosey -- just go!

Live Oak Academy is a student-driven learning experience that allows students to accelerate their graduation on their own schedule. Students at Live Oak Academy apply and must have the intrinsic motivation to independently pursue a challenging course of study.

FIRST EVER - Inflatable Costume Scramble! This will be a scramble through the parking lot, about a half K, with participants dressed in their own inflatable costumes! Get your camera ready, this is sure to be a hoot!

DOG and STROLLER are add ons - bibs only - and mean you will have a bib assigned to your dog or your stroller in addition to your own.

Bib Numbers 1-1021 and 2000-2008 - you are considered EARLY REGISTRATION -- that's the line you'll head to on Race Morning

All other numbers are considered LATE REGISTRATION and that’s where you'll head on Race Morning

Bring your team to this For the Love of Go race and #repyourteam! No need to register together or name your team when you register for the race. Just bring all your peeps to the race, scan the QR code near the starting line to check in each team member. Once the race starts, the team with the most check ins WINS fantastic prizes and bragging rights! So, get it together, and come #repyourteam!

Additional Info

Extra shirts are ordered conservatively so as not to expend funds on shirts that could go to the cause. If having a shirt is important to you, please register by Shirt Guarantee Deadline, January 1.

Races start and finish in the parking lot, Bales Gym, at the address listed at the top of this page, last parking lot before Mountain City.

We are Rain or Shine, Hot or Cold.

5K is chip timed.

Online Early Registration will close 4 days before race day. Late registration is available during stated Packet Pickup times above.

If you register after early registration closes, you are considered late registration and you can still sign up online! When you get to packet pickup or race morning, follow the signs for Late Registration.

Late Registration closes 15 minutes before race start time.

No refunds, but you may transfer your registration to another person.

Packets may be picked up by another person.

All Registration Changes must be handled on race morning with the timing company.

If offered, Packets to be shipped will be shipped following the close of the race.

All packets not retrieved by the end of race morning will be donated to Hays Clothing Closet.
