We are trying to promote a healthier lifestyles for our families and communities. The 5K Leader run and Sharpen the Saw expo plays off of the Leader in Me program that we adopted at Elm Grove Elementary. Sharpen the Saw is the 7th habit and it's main purpose to help develop the mind, body and soul. We will have a 5K Run, 1 Mile Fun Run, Zumbathon, Raflle and Field Day type games. There will also be a kickball tournament between faculty/staff and students. All proceeds will go towards our Acclerated Reader program, that allows each child to set a specific reading goal to his/her own reading level. We encourage everyone to participate in one way or another so that we are able to provide each child with his/her own Acclerated Reader License. If you do not wich to particpate in the events you can visit our website and do a "Sleep-In for a Leader" donation. |
