The 7th Annual Freedom 5000 will be held July 4th, 2013 at 8:00a.m. The Kids K will start at 9:00a.m. Kick off your family's celebration by participating together in this patriotic event! Your entire family can take part, with strollers and pets (on leashes) safely positioned after the more competitive runners. The 5K event will be chip timed and age group awrds will be given. Those registered for the kids K will receive participation awards.
The race start and finish will be within the grounds of historic Camp Mabry facility near 35th and MoPac. The Freedom 5000 benefits the Texas Military Forces Museum & the RunTex Foundation. Come celebrate with us as we start the 4th of July off with a "BANG"! Top three male and female in all age divisions will be awarded medals. Packet pickup and late registration will be available at the RunTex located at 422 W. Riverside Dr 78704 on July 3rd from 11-7. Packet pickup and late registration will also be available on race day until the 8 o'clock start time.
