About The Optimist Unlimited Club of Abilene
The Optimist Club Unlimited if Abilene is a nonprofit organization comprised of individuals in the community that seek to make a difference in the lives of youth while enouraging them to be optimistic.All proceeds from the Big Country Balloonfest event weekend benefit the youth of the BIg Country through various outreach programs. These programs include Face of Optimism and Oractorical contests, college scholarships, Return to Sender (Christmas gifts fro underprivileged and needy children and familied), Camp Quiality (camp for young cancer patients) and Teacher of the Year and Respect for Law Awards.
