Join us on the Academy campus on Saturday, October 7th, for a 5K and 1K to benefit our students. We look forward to hosting this event on the morning of our annual festival, OctoBEARFest, the largest Student Life Fundraiser. We thank La Cima for being the title sponsor of the Bear Run.

Bring your team to this For the Love of Go race and #repyourteam! No need to register together or name your team when you register for the race. Just bring all your peeps to the race, scan the QR code near the starting line to check in each team member. Race Day Pickup and Late Registration
1 Hour Before Race Start Time – Near Start/Finish, Look for Signs at the school.

Bib Numbers 1-1012 AND 2000-2012  - you are considered EARLY REGISTRATION -- that's the line you'll head to at Packet Pickup

All other numbers are considered LATE REGISTRATION and that’s where you'll head to at Packet Pickup 

Early Registrants: Dog and Stroller Bibs will be in the packets of the Registered Owner. If you did not register for the 5K, but you registered your dog or stroller, you will need to register for the 5K before receiving your dog or stroller bib.

Directions and Parking

Parking is available on campus. Please follow signs and do not park in coned off areas. It is a nice meandering drive from the gate to the parking and then a short walk to the starting area. Please plan accordingly!

Must register by Shirt Guarantee Deadline (Sept 10) to guarantee receipt of shirt requested.

Shirt Guarantee Deadline is September 10.

Extra shirts are ordered conservatively so as not to expend funds on shirts that could go to the cause.  If having a shirt is important to you, please register by Shirt Guarantee Deadline.

Races start and finish near the stadium on campus, at the address listed at the top of this page, follow the signs when you arrive on campus.

We are Rain or Shine, Hot or Cold. 

5K is chip timed.

1K will not begin until all 5K participants have returned to the finish line.

Medals are not awarded to 1K participants.  All participants 10 and under receive a finisher token. 

Online Early Registration will close 4 days before race day. Late registration is available during stated Packet Pickup times above.

If you register after early registration closes, you are considered late registration and you can still sign up online!  When you get to packet pickup or race morning, follow the signs for Late Registration.

Late Registration closes 15 minutes before race start time.

No refunds, but you may transfer your registration to another person.

Packets may be picked up by another person.

All Registration Changes must be handled on race morning with the timing company.

If offered, Packets to be shipped will be shipped following the close of the race.

All packets not retrieved by the end of race morning will be donated to Hays Clothing Closet.
