About

Register for the 17th Annual Cinco de Mayo 5K/10K race in historical downtown Lockhart. This family-oriented event will include an exciting smooth running course for both the chip-timed 5K and chip-timed 10K. So come on out and spice up your feet on the street! All proceeds fund scholarships for high school graduates in our community!

 

Run or walk a 5K or 10K and then eat like you did a marathon! 

 

Team with the most members registered will receive a special prize!

 

Note: We receive approval to be on the streets for our race from 7:30 AM until 9:10 AM. If you sign up for the 10K, please be sure you can be done with the 10K by 9:10 AM, a 16 minute per mile pace.  All course support will be removed by 9:10 AM.

DOG and STROLLER are add ons and mean you will have a bib assigned to your dog or your stroller in addition to your own, which means whoever is running with the dog or stroller must register also.  A dog or a stroller must be accompanied by a human!  This is for a bib only.

Shirt guarantee deadline was April 18. If you registered after that date, you are not guaranteed a shirt.

Directions and Parking

Parking is available in Bank of the Ozarks lot, lots at the corner of Prairie Lea and Main, lots at Church and Blanco, and anywhere south of the square.  NOTE: roads around the courthouse square will be blocked off but are  passable on foot.

Must register by Shirt Guarantee Deadline to guarantee receipt of shirt requested.

Shirt Guarantee Deadline is 14 days before race day.

Extra shirts are ordered conservatively so as not to expend funds on shirts that could go to the cause.  If having a shirt is important to you, please register by Shirt Guarantee Deadline.

Races start and finish in downtown Lockhart, on the square.

We are Rain or Shine, Hot or Cold. 

5K/10K are chip timed.

Online Early Registration will close 4 days before race day. Late registration is available during the stated Packet Pickup times above.

If you register after early registration closes, you are considered late registration and you can still sign up online!  When you get to packet pickup or race morning, follow the signs for Late Registration.

Late Registration closes 15 minutes before race start time.

No refunds, but you may transfer your registration to another person.

Packets may be picked up by another person.

All Registration Changes must be handled on race morning with the timing company.

All packets not retrieved by race start time will be considered donations.

We allow late starts up to 10 minutes after start time. If you are later than that and you choose to start, note that you may not have support, coverage, or directional markings, and you will not be timed - with love!
