Whether you are a school in the beginning of cross country season, a family looking for some outdoor adventure, or a runner looking for a race, we have a trail course and a cause for you!

Participants are welcome and encouraged to stay and enjoy what Garner State Park has to offer after their race! Go to the river. Visit the ice cream shop and Garner gift shop. Take a hike to the top of Old Baldy! Dance on the slab to the jukebox tunes after awards!

4:15 PM - Participants Meeting @ Pavilion
5:00 PM- Junior High Girls (2 miles)
5:30 PM- Junior High Boys (2 miles)
6:00 PM- High School Girls (2 miles)
6:25 PM- High School Boys (3 miles)
Stay and Play @ Garner Until Awards!

Frio River Run for Hope Open to All– Family, Friends, & Community
*On Site Registration 6:00-7:00 PM @ Garner Pavilion.
*Come early to enjoy the school races and activities!
6:40 PM- GO GOLD 2 Mile Run
7:00 PM- GO GOLD Family Fun Run (1 mile)
7:20 PM- Brooke’s Story & Awards @ Pavilion
7:50 PM- Garner Style: Dance on the Slab

Entry Fees

School Runner Race Entry Fees:
$12 per individual runner (includes park pass if in school transportation)

Community Runner Race Entry Fees:
$15 per individual fun run entry (children 4 and under are free with family)
$20 per individual runner in community 2 mile race

*Day Park Pass is included with race registration.

Award Categories

School Awards:
The top 20 runners in each division will receive medals. No team scores will be kept. All medals will be presented at 7:15 PM at the Garner Pavilion on the dance slab. Participants will be recognized by place, not race times. Coaches or parents are responsible for timing their own athletes. NEW TEAM AWARDS– Top teams in both performance and participation in each race will be recognized this year!

Community Awards:
The top 20 runners in both races will receive medals. Medals will be presented at 7:15 PM at the Garner Pavilion on the dance slab. Participants will be recognized by place, not race times. Participants are responsible for timing their own race.
