Off to the Races 5K Run/Walk, benefiting Sunfield Elementary PTA -- race will start and finish at the school!

 

Join us for the second annual Off To The Races 5k at Sunfield Elementary School! Celebrate the start of a new school year by seeing the campus and running a fun course through the beautiful Sunfield neighborhood. The Sunfield PTA sponsors this annual event to raise funding for additional school needs and to provide student assemblies.

Packet Pickup and Late Registration

Night before the Race – 3:15-5:00 p.m. - Pull to the front of the school for drive-thru pickup and late registration!

Race Day Pickup and Late Registration
1 Hour Before Race Start Time – Near Start/Finish, Look for Signs

Bib Numbers 1-1026, 2000-2056 - you are considered EARLY REGISTRATION -- that's the line you'll head to at Packet Pickup

All other numbers are considered LATE REGISTRATION and that’s where you'll head to at Packet Pickup 

Early Registrants: Dog and Stroller Bibs will be in the packets of the Registered Owner. If you did not register for the 5K, but you registered your dog or stroller, you will need to register for the 5K before receiving your dog or stroller bib.

Remember, shirt guarantee deadline is August 6.  We order extras but we are not always able to guess (though we do try our crystal ball) the sizes people will need as they register after that date.  If you do not receive a shirt, it is because we ran out of your size by the time we got to your packet after filling those who were guaranteed.  YES - that does mean that a group who registered together after the cut off might not all get a shirt.

Directions and Parking

Some parking will be available in parking lots, but you'll want to plan to come early and stay late if you grab any of those (the front parking lot will be part of both the 5K and the Kids Dash.)   There's street parking available!  Please avoid parking on Sunbright, across the street from the school.  Please do not park where you see cones.  We are blocking a few areas to allow for visibility.

Must register by Shirt Guarantee Deadline to guarantee receipt of shirt requested.

Shirt Guarantee Deadline is 14 days before race day.

Extra shirts are ordered conservatively so as not to expend funds on shirts that could go to the cause.  If having a shirt is important to you, please register by Shirt Guarantee Deadline.

Races start and finish at the address listed at the top of the page.

We are Rain or Shine, Hot or Cold. 

5K is chip timed.

Kids Dash will not begin until all 5K participants have returned to the finish line.

Medals are not awarded to Kids’ Dash participants.  All participants 10 and under receive a finisher token. 

Online Early Registration will close 4 days before race day. Late registration is available during stated Packet Pickup times above.

If you register after early registration closes, you are considered late registration and you can still sign up online!  When you get to packet pickup or race morning, follow the signs for Late Registration.

Late Registration closes 15 minutes before race start time.

No refunds, but you may transfer your registration to another person.

Packets may be picked up by another person.

All Registration Changes must be handled on race morning with the timing company.

If offered, Packets to be shipped will be shipped following the close of the race.

All packets not retrieved by the end of race morning will be donated to Hays Clothing Closet.
