Chosen Tampa Half Marathon

Kids Fun Run and Family/Children Festivities Race day volunteers..... Thank you!!! We are so appreciative of your willingness to volunteer!! As a volunteer, we ask that you arrive at 5AM. We will begin setting up our Kids Fun Run registration table, spirit table (families and friends write on posters to cheer their runners on) and assembling the balloon arch for the finish line for the Fun Run. After the runners start at 7 AM, we will begin transforming the runners finish line as well. Two bouncy houses will be delivered at 7:30 AM and as soon as they are ready, we will station 2 volunteers at each one. We will need 3 volunteers stationed at our Kids Fun Run registration table starting at 7 AM until the race begins. We will also use 2-3 volunteers to hand out noise makers as we start seeing more runners come across the finish line. At 9:30, 4 of our volunteers will begin to spread out along our Fun Run in order to keep the kids on course, once the race begins. We will also need several volunteers around the registration table, engaging the children and eventually joining them as we all stretch together. Once the Kids Fun Run is over, we will help serve the kids a drink and cookies and eventually move out to the general area of the race and for those of you who want to stay, continue to encourage runners as they cross the finish line. We will need a few volunteers to stay and help us rotate around the bouncy houses until 1 PM and a few volunteers to help us take down our Kids Fun Run table and tent.
