Celebrate Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at the Sixth ANNUAL morning 5K Run/Walk at Hernandez Elementary on 333 Stagecoach Trail in San Marcos!
The late Ofelia Vasquez-Philo has been selected as this year's 2018 Dia de los Muertos Honoree. During the morning ceremony, she will be honored and remembered posthumously for her generous community spirit and service to local citizens in San Marcos.

5K proceeds are allocated to the *Johnnie T. Rosales Memorial Scholarship (http://johnniejam.org/) which distributes annual scholarships (>$12,000 since 2010) to selected San Marcos High School graduating seniors, and also benefit the *Centro Cultural Hispano de San Marcos (www.sanmarcoscentro.org, a local cultural center and museum. *All donations to 501C3 non-profits are tax deductible.
