1-Mile, 5k, 10k
What to Expect :
1-Mile: This isn’t about speed or competition; it’s pure fun! This untimed, family-friendly walk/run is open to everyone and includes color stations.
5k: This is a five-kilometer, untimed event. Along the route, participants are doused with orange colored powder. Participants wear their white event t-shirt at the start of the race and finish the race plastered in color. We recommend wearing sunglasses and a bandana over your mouth and nose in our orange zones. The race is for everyone – first timers to seasoned athletes, with no winners or official time. Please note it may get a bit messy after the race, so bring some extra towels or wipes.
10k Anniversary Run: Celebrating UTRGV 10 years Strong! This year marks a decade of Vaquero pride, and we're making this 10k run extra special. Join us for this timed race that honors our history and looks ahead to an exciting future. Lace up our shoes and be part of this milestone moment - let's make this anniversary run the best one yet!
