About

Still wondering how to nail your T1 and T2 in a race? This Free clinic with Coach Stephanie will provide the breakdown of what you need and don't need, as well as the set-up and execution of a perfect transition!

Just in time for CapTex Triathlon!

Coach Stephanie Peterson, owner of R3 Endurance and Sheila Crenshaw Luedecke, USA Triathlon Official, invite you to GRIP Fitness for Longevity for a morning filled with everything you need to know for short course to 70.3 distance multisport transitions. New to Triathlon/Duathlon athletes, Age Groupers, and Improvers alike will take away valuable time saving tricks and stress relieving tips.

Learn the ins and outs of transition of a triathlon event and how to be more efficient to save time during your  upcoming race. Bring your triathlon gear, including your bike, shoes (cycling and running), helmet (required), sunglasses, towel for transition, running hat, running belt (check out SPI-belt if you need one). Please wear the triathlon suit or outfit you plan to wear on race day. It will be helpful to test it out with all your gear. We will start with instruction and demo, then break off into groups to practice transitions with specific instruction given along the way.

Coach Stephanie Peterson is a USAT Triathlon Coach and a Doctor of Physical Therapy located in the North Austin/Round Rock area. Steph started racing triathlon as a teen with a Junior Elite team and has raced in short course events nationally and internationally ever since. Sheila Crenshaw Luedecke is a USA Triathlon official, owner of 31 Strive Street event and healthcare marketing agency, and an IRONMAN triathlete. She will provide valuable insight into transitions from an official's perspective. GRIP Fitness for Longevity is your location host, a gym located in South Austin with a mission to fundamentally change the healthcare industry, blending fitness, recovery, medicine, and community.

Together, we bring you the collective goal of helping you achieve your best race with a smile in an inclusive, supportive triathlon clinic series. Be sure to sign up for newsletters and follow on social to get the first invites to what’s to come!

Please bring any race related food and water/electrolytes you may need during this clinic. This is a good time to figure out where you will put your nutrition in transition but also while you are cycling and running on course. Captex Tri will have plenty of aid stations available for nutrition but some people prefer to use their own styles and brands.
