FOR THE CHILDREN!: 

Kids 10 years old and younger can participate for FREE. The first 100 kids 14 years old and younger who enter into the 20K RIDE receive a free bike helmet! Sign up now!

Over 100 local organizations, businesses and agencies will be in attendance promoting children's safety, health, nutrition and fitness. Make sure you stop by and check out what they have to offer...you may just win a prize!

 

 
Proceeds to benefit Voices for Children of San Antonio

The event's primary goal is to expand research and aggressively advocate for our youngest children. Voices for Children is a community leader in providing San Antonio & Bexar County with the up-to-date research and advocacy related to our children's education, health, safety and abuse/neglect prevention. All funds raised will support Voices for Children's efforts in the community to ensure our children's future is a prosperous one. City Council District 3 Back-to-School Supply Drive

City Councilwoman Rebecca J. Viagran is graciously asking each participant to donate a school supply item that will then be given to those who need it the most: our children. Please donate your school supply item at during Packet Pick-Up (location to be determined). There may be a chance to win a prize if you do.

 

Alcohol
As per Brooks City-Base Ordinance-No Alcoholic Beverages will be allowed on the property.
 
Awards 

Unfortunately, there will not be any awards given to those who participate. However, there will be gifts and prizes at the end of the EXPO for those who donate school supply items. The more items you donate, the more chances you have in winning a prize.

 
Baby Strollers/Dogs
Baby Strollers and/or dogs are permitted. Please note that all dogs must remain on a leash. Please also be courteous in picking up after your dogs business. Failure to comply with this simple rule will result in removal of the property (both you and the dog!).
 
Packet Pick-Up/School Supply Drive
Please bring a printed copy of your ticket(s) when picking up your packet. Packet pick-up and school supply donation location is currently being determined. An email will be sent out to all participants reminding them of time and location as soon as it is is confirmed.
 
Inclement Weather

In the event of inclement or bad weather please be assured that your safety is always first on our minds. As with most running/cycling or outdoor events, if lightning is present at the start of the race, the race may be delayed. If the race is underway, and inclement weather arrives (post of the start) the Run Ride Expo will continue. Remember to feel comfortable in your decision concerning bad weather.

 
Medical & Emergency
Medical and Emergency services will be available throughout the entirety of the event. Please notify someone in a YELLOW VOLUNTEER shirt if a medical emergency is needing attention. 
 
Registration & Payment
Registration can only be done online and/or by calling our Registration Coordinator: Kristine Brown at 210.220.2584. Only available method of payment is by credit card. This is a non-refundable event. However, if you choose to switch (or exchange) the event you previously registered for, it must be made by 5:00pm on Friday, July 18th. 
 
Cost of each event represents an "early bird" registration fee to allow t-shirts to be adequately ordered and logistics to be properly prepared for.  All registrations made after 9:00am on Monday, July 21 will result in an increase of $15/event. Additionally, t-shirts will be given while supplies last. 
 
Yes, you may register in person either at Packet Pick-Up or prior to 7:30am on the day of the event (Saturday, August 2). Cost will be an additional $15 to the prices currently stated.

Parking at Brooks City-Base 

Parking will be limited. We highly encourage everyone to carpool. Please observe all parking signs and traffic controllers. Failure to do so will result in immediate removal of the property. 

 

Timing

Due to the nature of the event (health & fitness expo), timing chips will not be offered. However, a race clock for those who are interested in their time will be present. No bibs will be offered as well. The color of your wrist band indicates what event you're participating in. Wear it, and your event t-shirt, proudly!
