The event is part of an ongoing effort to enhance quality of life through neighborhood revitalization. St. Mary’s strives to be a vital partner in promoting the health and wellness, education, and safety of the Gateway District community.

Proceeds from the StMU 5k will go to neighborhood revitalization. St. Mary’s University students’ registration fees will go to United Way agencies operating in the revitalization area.

Schedule for Sunday Oct. 19, 2014

On-site Registration: 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. at the University’s Pecan Grove

Catholic Mass: 7:30 to 8:15 a.m. in Guadalupe Chapel, close by the Pecan Grove; all are welcome

Welcome and Remarks: 8:45 a.m. at the Pecan Grove

StMU 5k for the Neighborhood: 9 a.m.; begins and ends at the Pecan Grove

Parking: Participants may park at the front of the campus in Lots V and S, or at the back of campus in Lot D
