Alamo 10,000

The Alamo 10,000 is one of four events of the inaugural Alamo City Run Fest, designed to become San Antonio's major, signature spring festival of running events. It includes a full blown Health & Fitness Expo, great courses, hundresds of highly energized volunteers, course entertainment that will keep you looking for more and a great finish line experience! It's a truly Texas event... being created and directed b a couple of event directors who've each called central Texas home for over 25 years. Runners and walkers, wheelchairs and physically challenged, teams and military divisions... it is a 'happening' that everyone can find an event to participate in. Partial proceeds - no less than 10% of all entry fees - will go to benefit Operation Homefront (they do wonderful things to support the members of the miliary and their families) and Texas Regional Paralympic Sports (they support all types of physically challeneged individuals, many of whom are military veterans living with injuries they received during deployments in service to our country). Event is chip-timed and includes various awards divisions. There's a good chance it will fill up.
