Port Arthur's Pleasure Island, an 18.5 mile long man-made body of land, extends from the mouth of the Neches River on the northwest to the Sabine Causeway on the southeast and is surrounded by Sabine Lake and the Sabine Neches Intracoastal Waterway. Half Marathon and 10K participants take on the challenge of the MLK Jr. bridge at 5,032 feet in length and 138 feet above the Sabine-Neches Canal. 2 milers enjoy the speed of a flat, fast course.
Cause: Join us in the national fight against obesity. We have a distance for everyone. If you can walk two miles, you can take steps toward the cause.
Awards: 5 Year Age Groups. Everyone who finishes the 10K or the Half Marathon receives a finisher’s medal for conquering the bridge. Everyone who registers receives a tech shirt.

Course- A scenic course that winds around the island. Half Marathon runners and 10K runners/walkers take on the beautiful Pleasure Island Bridge. 2 Mile participants go along a wooden pier on the water.
Packet Pickup- Packets will be available at the host hotel, Hampton Inn & Suites, from 3pm to 8pm on Friday, November 8th. You can also collect your packet on race day on Pleasure Island.
