This is not your normal 1k & 5k. We are here to make history..HELP US SET A WORLD RECORD! "Largest Gathering of People Dressed as Astronauts." Saturday, April 15, 2017. Open to all! Record and Races will take place at the Gilruth Center, off of Space Center Blvd., Houston, TX, 77058. Check-in starts at 7:30am, record rules announcements at 8:15am, record attempt at 8:30am, 1k race launch at 9am, 5k race launch at 9:15am, and 5k awards presentation at 10am. You do not need to register for the 5k or 1k to participate in the record breaker.
Early registration is open until March 20. $40 for the 5k and $25 for the 1k.
All participants will receives a space survival pack including an Aliens vs. Astronaut shirt and custom die-cast medal including a depiction of ORION, NASA's new deep spacecraft which will take astronauts to Mars!
