About

In an effort to help encourage men to lead healthier lives through early detection and treatment of diseases, Texas Oncology Harlingen, Cameron County Public Health, and City of Harlingen" bring you our Blue Tie Day Men's 5K & 1 Mile on Friday, June 10th, 2022. This event will be held at Lon C Hill Park in Harlingen. Our event is aimed at bringing awareness of preventable health problems commonly found in men by offering FREE health screenings, providing educational information, as well as providing information on preventive care services available for men and their families within our communities.

We also encourage you to take a “Walk With Your Sweetie” during our 1 Mile walk to show your support for that important man or person in your life, whether that is your spouse, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew or anyone you want to honor, remember or support! 

All proceeds will be going to the Texas Oncology Foundation and will benefit Texas Oncology patients in Cameron County.

07:00 PM - 5K Race

 

07:45 PM - 1st Wave of 1 Mille "Walk With Your Sweetie"
08:15 PM - 2nd Wave of 1 Mile "Walk with Your Sweetie"

1 Mile "Walk with your Sweetie"
$10.00 until June 10th 

5K Race
$30.00 until June 8th (Pre-Registration..EXTENDED!!). 

$25 Group Rate of 10 or more


Late Registration for 5K will be held during pakcet pick and on day of event.

Fee will go up to $35.00. 

 

For those who wish to register in person, please visit Footworks located at 2224 South 77 Sunshine Strip, Harlingen. Cash only accepted for in person registration.

Packet Pickup will be on Thursday, June 9th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Casa de Amistad. See you there!

Additional Info
  • 5K & 1 Mile routes are family & stroller friendly for those runners/walkers who wish to bring you infant/toddler along for the run/walk/ride.
  • Pet friendly 5K & 1 Mile Run/Walk: pets are allowed to accompany a runner/walker during their run/walk as long as pets are leashed and up to date with their immunizations.
